Meet Ft. Collins native and owner of Prodigy Gym, Chris Havekost. Chris began his fitness journey at just 15 years of age, where he discovered his love for developing his body. This passion led to his first bodybuilding show, where he won the Teenage Mr. Colorado title!
Fast forward to 1999, when Chris returned to the stage and won the overall Colorado State title, earning the coveted Mr. Colorado award. He went on to be a top-two competitor on the national level for many years.
Toward the end of his bodybuilding career, Chris was presented with an opportunity to purchase an existing gym, The Zone Health and Fitness. He took that chance, and over the past 11 years, it has evolved into what is now known as Prodigy Gym!
With over 35 years of experience, Chris has dedicated his life to helping people achieve their best physical condition, transforming not only their bodies but also their minds and entire lives.

Matt began lifting weights at the age of 15, which eventually led him to his first bodybuilding competition at 18. He won the NPC Northern Classic Teenage Division, where he discovered his passion for bodybuilding. In 2014, Matt achieved one of his greatest milestones by winning the coveted Mr. Colorado title and soon after placed at the national level.
While Matt's love for bodybuilding and building his own physique was strong, he found an even greater passion for helping others achieve their fitness goals. Although he enjoys coaching competition clients, Matt’s true passion lies in working with a wide range of individuals — from young, sports-minded children to clients over 60.
Matt excels at working with older clients who need to navigate injuries, arthritis, and other health concerns. His expertise, combined with Prodigy's wide variety of gym equipment, allows him to create personalized programs that meet the unique needs of each client.
